Agave nectar is not as healthy as you thought

Aside from its ingredients, regular consumption of agave syrup is not necessarily recommended, as it has a poor ecological balance. Since it is mainly obtained in Mexico, it has a long export path to reach us, which is associated with high Co2 emissions. In addition, other plant species are being supplanted by agave cultivation and harvesters have to work in precarious working conditions.
